The Best Actors to Come Out of Skins

With the filming of series two now complete and airing on E4, it looks like Skins generation #2 has graduated. On to bigger and better things? Maybe. Who would've thought Dev Patel would be the most recognizable Skins face in Hollywood? Let's start with the most obvious.
1) Dev Patel
You probably all know the story by now. Danny Boyle, director, chose Dev Patel as the lead actor in Slumdog Millionaire after his daughter, a Skins viewer, suggested Patel. Since then the actor has been to several film festivals around the world, walking many red carpets and winning awards for the movie. What's next for him? He recently finished filming The Last Airbender, alongside Twilight star Jackson Rathbone, in which he plays Zuko. Imdb credits M. Night Shyamalan as the director and writer for the film, which is set to come out on July 2.
2) Nicholas Hoult
Although his time on Skins was limited to only two seasons, it's almost as if Nick Hoult played two different characters on the show. In the first season he was introduced as Tony Stonem, a narcissistic, manipulative trouble-maker who liked to stir up a disturbance for some excitement. After getting hit by a bus and suffering some kind of brain damage, the next season saw a new Tony emerge. Suddenly he was dependent on his friends, unable to even go to the bathroom on his own, leaving behind any trace of the mean-spirited guy we one knew.
I should mention that he played both versions of Tony rather convincingly. Now, he has more than a few Hollywood movies under his belt, the most recent, A Single Man, starring alongside Matthew Goode, Julianne Moore and Colin Firth. The Hollywood Reporter's review of the movie describes Hoult as "just too perfect to be true."
Pop Matters also positively describes Hoult's portrayal in the film:
"A Single Man, while tackling the serious topics of grief, suicide and aging, also finds a surprisingly sweet, romantic groove, thanks in no small part to Hoult's unique performance as a young man who embodies all the qualities of a sex object, an academic, a ghost, and a beam of light."
Coming up next is a new remake of Clash of The Titans, scheduled to premiere in March, which credits Hoult as being in the movie. As of now, it is still unknown what role he plays in the film.
3) Kaya Scodelario
Another Skins actress who is set to appear in Clash of The Titans is no other than Miss Scodelario who plays Tony's little sister, Effy Stonem. Little Effy Stonem appeared on our screens as Tony's innocent little sister, the one who never spoke. Kaya, who was 14 at the time, has since grown as an actress right before our eyes. The third series saw Kaya portray Effy as the untouchable enigma who slowly unraveled toward the end. It's been three episodes into series four and we haven't seen much of our beloved Effy. So far we know that she is currently happy with her boyfriend Freddie, although we know the writers too well to know that it probably won't stay that way. While we wait for the outcome of the end of the season, it's safe to say that the end of Effy won't mean the end of Kaya.
